Zoe
This is our miracle. Zoe. By the grace of God and a lot of love and care she made it threw
what not many foals would have. She was born to a horse that was a first time mom at 18 and
had other issues. Zoe was 40lbs when she was born. Her front legs were twisted and not
formed right. She has parrot mouth and didn't nurse and was very weak. After test to check
her antibodies she actually grabbed some from her mom and only needed a little help in that
department threw Iv's. I milked her mother (Kattie) to try to get some milk in her and try to
get her to nurse. She took to the bottle great and was put on milk replacer and her mothers
milk. Kattie didn't produce a lot of milk. Zoe was bottle fed every 2 hours for weeks. She
made it past the critical time and each day was a blessing. We honestly didn't think she was
going to make it. No one did. And told me not to get attached. You couldn't help but get close
to this beauty. To have something so small, that should have been 3x's the weight she was,
depend on you to survive was stressful and incredible. Each day is a new experience and joy
being around Miss Zoe. I will never forget this experience. And will always be grateful to
those who helped me and believed in me. As well as Zoe will be also.

Daily routine included leg messaging to help her front leg tendons stretch and
reshape. As you can see sometimes it hurt. Between the messages and Vet care to
one hoof to help turn her leg back in some you will see Zoe's legs are incredibly
perfect now.. She even gives kisses. She knows we are all trying to help her be the
best she can be. And boy she is Great!!!
Our little girl loves to run and play.. nothing is gonna hold her down.
We all took turns feeding Zoe. As every 2 hours was quite a task. Kattie wanted the bottle too. Halter
and lead rope training was incredibly easy. It took 6 weeks to get a halter to fit her but she took it like
she did it all the time. Very smart little girl. Very quick to learn and very eager to learn and please..
