Kattie (has been adopted)
22 yr old registered QH, great for light riding only and will
help gain confidence back for those who have lost it over
the years. This girl looks 14 and had lots of years left.
Don't let her on paper age scare you. Great with kids.
Kattie Sur was a horse I saw 2 months after I got DiDi. She was on a farm and she just stood out. She has
navicular disease and was a registered show horse. Months later I worked on the farm to get her home. I
found out she was pregnant. A maiden mare at 18 I was more concerned about getting her home and
weight on her and her health back so she could deliver this foal with out taking her life. She was stuffed
full of strongyles and other worms and wasn't fully up to date on her shots, thin and withdrawn looking.
We immediately decided our main concern was to make sure Kattie lived and to let the foal go. I only had
2 months to get her in shape and My wonderful Veterinarian made sure she gave her every fighting
chance. Well to our surprise. Kattie had her foal at 6:05am July 27, 2005. After weeks of false labors and
days of her not being to well. Look at Zoe's site to see the troubles that precious miracle had. Kattie is
GREAT now..

This was Kattie when we got her home in May and 10 months pregnant. We had a lot of
work to do to get her ready to deliver.
I stand under Katties head. I swore when I first got her her head was bigger then my torso
Now several months with us Kattie is doing just great. Doesn't limp any more, Eating great and
gaining muscle tone again. She looks like a different horse and her attitude is incredible. She lets
US know when she wants something as she knows she will get it.
Kattie is doing great. She was a horrible mom but is a great companion to me. She gets along
great with just about everyone. Kattie would be a great horse for someone who has confidence
issues or a older rider just starting again as she is very laid back and doesn't like to go to fast
herself.
