Alexi Update

We have just finished our 2 week evaluation and observation with Alexi. And
yes she has a new name. We felt she needed a whole fresh start and hopefully
forgets all the crap she has been threw.  She is on special weight building food
and has gained about 80lbs so far. We have to take the weight gain slow due
to her rear quarter problems. Her hair has unbelievable started changing and
growing beautifully. And her rain rot is almost gone. The hair is shinny and
healthier looking then she probably has ever had. Her personality is really
coming out and she is one of the nicest and most grateful horses I have ever
worked with.  She is very clumsy with her head as she about knocks me out on
a daily basis but it is never intentional. We feel she may have a left eye
problem.  She jumped right into the program and the only issue we have is she
does not like picking her feet up. She will just about fall on her face so she will
need retraining and possibly some sort of aid to help her stand up. She may
not be able to pick her right rear leg up properly due to the breakage.

We are absolutely thrilled with her progress so far and YES SHE RAN AND
BUCKED.. WHOOO HOOOO .. it was ugly but she did it and does it every
day now.  And she lays down outside and in her special made LARGE stall.
Her buddy Little man is right by her where they can touch and see each other
as both of them have been way to left out to long.
